You wish to discover, practice or improve your skills in the art of Latin calligraphy.
Creaden welcomes you to its workshop in Paris at the foot of Montmartre for 2-hour sessions of Latin calligraphy. You will learn how to handle the pen, the brush or the felt pen according to your choices or your projects.
What happens during a session?
For beginners and false beginners, Noëlle Jaouani, an experienced calligrapher, will present the scripts recommended for beginners so that you can make your choice. She will then help you set up your workstation and lend you what you need for the session. Didactic boards as well as exercise sheets are provided. You will be explained how to read the educational boards and use the tools with demonstration.
Then Noëlle will visit each student to correct, suggest changes, indicate the next steps in the progression or make models to reproduce. She remains available to everyone to answer questions or advise on calligraphy projects.
It is possible to start classes at any time during the year.
Who attends the sessions?
The sessions are all public from 12 years old. In general, they are rather adults.
All levels are grouped together, in fact, everyone progresses at their own pace and everyone does not come at the same frequency. After a few months, students can choose from a dozen different calligraphies the one they want to study, so it can happen that each student works on a different style or technique during the same lesson.
It is for this reason that the courses are limited to 8 people, in order to ensure a quality follow-up throughout the session.
One-off 2-hour lesson: €30 including tax
5 lessons of 2 hours: 140€ including tax
10 lessons of 2 hours: 260€ including tax
Monday afternoon: 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesday morning: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Saturday morning: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
